Edexcel Summer 2020 Examinations in Sri Lanka

Dear parents,

I hope you are keeping safe through the prevailing situation in the country and the rest of the world. Our priority is the safety of our students and parents. Though we couldn’t complete the academic term as planned, our teachers constantly dedicate themselves in encouraging students to engage in studies although they’re at home during this period. Most of our teachers have completed the relevant lessons for the particular term and are giving assignments and revision questions to the students to keep them engaged in learning. We highly focus on the continuation of our students’ learning. The teachers will continue to create the platform for the students to engage in their studies daily apart from the other activities they carry out at home. We have planned to conduct the term exams once the school is reopened, so kindly make sure that your children are also ready for that.
I hope the parents and my dear students are safe and are always taking safety precautions. Keep children indoors as much as possible to ensure the safety of your children.
My thoughts and my special prayers are with the parents who live abroad in countries that are affected by the COVID-19 virus.
Let’s hope that this unfortunate situation that has created a global impact will come to an end soon. My prayers are always with you. Let’s have faith in God to heal the land as these are the signs of the last days. Kindly pay attention to the letter sent by the Pearsons regarding the May-June Edexcel exams. The students will be kept informed while we await more information from the Pearsons.

May God bless you all.

A warm welcome to the Adventist International School, Negombo!

Located in this beautiful coastal city, the school is a part of the global Seventh- day Adventist system of education which includes over 8,500 schools, colleges, and universities around the world.

The motto, “Wisdom for now and Eternity” clearly indicates the mission of the school. We have dedicated faculty and staff who train students and mould them to be self-confident, and efficient, so that when they enter the world after their studies, they would face various challenges with courage determination and success.

Our main aim is clearly stated by Mrs. E.G. White, “True education means more than the pursuit of a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come.” Education,p.13.

Our main focus is that children grow and develop mentally, physically, socially and spiritually. We believe that each child is unique and has potential. We have high expectations for the students and we thrive to help our children grow into achieving these goals and the objectives. At AIS students study in a friendly environment, hence I believe this is the right place for your child to learn and grow to work in unity, sharing God’s love. Thus at AIS we prepare students to be worthy citizens of this world and the world to come.

Visit our website to get a clearer understanding of the academic programs and the other activities of the school. Place your trust in us and we will harbour you safely to reach the set goals.

Thank you!
